The Philosophy Behind the New England Patriots

I first must state that I am not a New England Patriots fan, so nothing in this entry should lead you to believe that I support what they do. That being said, I am about to say some things, and excuse me if my words tight-walk to rope between being polite and being abusively brash.
As far as the players that are complaining about the score being run up, this is professional football. I don't give a fuck if you feel insulted that the other team keeps scoring, if you don't like it, then play harder and make your teammates play harder. The reason why little league has a mercy rule is because children's self esteem is at stake. When you're in your 20's and 30's and you bitch because your team is getting blown out, the only people you can blame are the ones in the front office and the ones in the owners boxes. Everyone is under the same cap, so if your organization can't compete with another then they aren't doing their job.
The next point I want to make is the one that made me decided to waste my time writing this. I was watching ESPN first take last week, and they had 3 former defensive players (I don't remember who they were) talking about the attitude they played with. All of them talked about how they went out with the attitude that the people on the other side of the ball were their mortal enemy. Well, after talking about that they were asked about the Patriots running up the score, and all but one said that they needed to show some compassion late in the game and stop scoring. WHAT? Again, this is professional football. Every player out there considers himself a blood thirsty mad man, until they start getting beaten down by a superior team. The thing that people like that are telling me is that they're little cry-baby bitches.
As for the Don Schula comments that came out today, I'm really not sure what he was thinking. The Dolphins broke league rules when bringing him in as the team's head coach, and now he wants to yap his trap about the Patriots filming defensive signals? First of all, and this in no way condones what the Patriots did, it is widely known that ALL NFL TEAMS DO THIS. The Patriots were just dumb enough to get caught. And, even so, this couldn't have helped them this year as all of the teams they had video on have changed their signals.
The real problem that everyone has with the Patriots is that they are just THAT GOOD. They are the best team that has ever been assembled in the history of the NFL, and they have the best coaching and ownership in history to thank. I'm not sure if its just everyone hate for dynasties or that Bill Bellichick is an asshole, but you need to let whatever it is stop clouding your vision. I came to terms with it when I saw their roster before the season started, and its really helped me to realize that watching their games is watching history in the making. They will shatter the single season points record, average margin of victory, single season TD passes, will go undefeated (or 15-1 if they decided to rest players), and will win the super bowl. I suggest everyone stop questioning their ability, and just start watching with an open-mind.
